Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Israel has urged its citizens to remain on high alert as security concerns grow over a possible escalation of tensions in the region.

The diplomatic mission called on nationals living in or visiting Israel to strictly follow safety instructions and stay close to protected areas and shelters, The Caspian Post reports via Daryo.

The embassy advised citizens to immediately move to a shelter whenever an air raid siren sounds and remain there until receiving official clearance from Israel’s Home Front Command.

The warning comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Earlier, Israel reportedly carried out a strike on Beirut, while Iran later announced retaliatory attacks targeting northern areas of Israel.
