Uzbek First Lady Showcases Diplomacy Through Culture in New York

As part of her visit to New York for the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva has taken part in a special cultural event at the invitation of First Lady of Türkiye, Emine Erdoğan.

The event featured an exhibition dedicated to Türkiye’s cultural heritage, showcasing centuries-old Anatolian traditions infused with contemporary design, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Attendees explored a wide range of traditional Turkish craftsmanship, including national textiles, handwoven carpets, jewelry crafted using telkari and kazaziye techniques, carved walnut chests, ceramics, and handmade copperware.

During the visit, First Ladies Mirziyoyeva and Erdoğan held a friendly dialogue on cultural and humanitarian cooperation, highlighting the shared values and deepening ties between the people of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

The exhibition also brought together spouses of world leaders and members of high-level delegations visiting New York for the UN General Assembly, creating an opportunity for cultural exchange and international goodwill.
