Uzbek Leader Calls Azerbaijan’s Central Asia Entry Historic

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has highlighted the historic significance of Azerbaijan joining the Central Asian heads-of-state consultative meetings as a full member.

Speaking to parliament and the nation, Mirziyoyev said that during the recent consultative meeting in Tashkent, an initiative was proposed to create a strategic Central Asian Community aimed at taking regional integration to a new level, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The decision to include Azerbaijan as a full member was described as historically significant, Report news agency reports.

The president emphasized that this move will strengthen strategic ties and stability between Central Asia and the South Caucasus, enhancing regional cooperation and integration.
