On November 5, during his working visit to Washington, D.C., President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with US Senator Steve Daines, Co-Chair of the Senate Central Asia Caucus, at his residence.
The discussions centered on deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, with a focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and innovation, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
President Mirziyoyev commended the active interparliamentary dialogue, noting the important role of the Senate Central Asia Caucus in strengthening ties and mutual understanding between the two nations.
Both sides highlighted that Uzbekistan-US relations have reached an unprecedented level, with record-breaking trade deals and investment projects involving major American companies. Several new economic agreements are expected to be signed during the current visit.
The sides also discussed enhancing cooperation with the State of Montana, represented by Senator Daines. Plans are underway to organize a Montana business mission to Uzbekistan, aimed at expanding collaboration in industry, agriculture, and education.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on regional and global issues, reaffirming the shared commitment to peace, stability, and economic growth in Central Asia.
