During a press tour in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijani journalists have visited the Presidential School in Khiva and the Khorezm Mamun Academy, gaining insight into the country’s educational and scientific advancements.
The Presidential School is part of a nationwide network of modern educational institutions launched under the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The school aims to cultivate a new generation of talented and well-prepared specialists, equipped with contemporary knowledge and skills.
Journalists toured classrooms and facilities fitted with advanced educational equipment. Students are selected through a competitive process, and the curriculum is delivered by a mix of local and international instructors.
The delegation also explored the Khorezm Mamun Academy, one of the oldest scientific institutions in Central Asia, with roots stretching back to the 11th century. The Academy conducts research in geology, ecology, and biology, including studies on medicinal plants and termite behavior, which are crucial to the region’s ecosystem.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Academy’s museum, which highlights the history and culture of Khorezm and features temporary exhibitions of scientific achievements and archaeological finds from the institution.
