Director of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Abdulla Azizov has met with a Polish delegation representing Polpharma, Adamed Pharma, and Biofarm to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation, launching investment projects, and addressing pricing policies in the pharmaceutical sector.
The Polish side emphasized the importance of introducing international standards, particularly the World Listed Authority (WLA) recognition system, describing it as a key step toward boosting Polish companies’ interest in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The WLA system, they noted, would enable Uzbek manufacturers to access global markets and enhance the country’s export potential.
Discussions also covered reference pricing, support for local production, foreign investment, and the creation of joint ventures. Polish companies expressed their readiness to expand their presence in Uzbekistan and collaborate in research, innovation, and education.
Held in a constructive atmosphere, the talks concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening pharmaceutical cooperation and developing long-term partnerships between the two countries’ industries.
