Uzbek President to Attend Second World Summit for Social Development in Qatar

On November 3-4, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Qatar at the invitation of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development.

The summit will focus on bridging socio-economic gaps, advancing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, and promoting social justice, inclusiveness, and resilience worldwide, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Leaders will explore ways to strengthen international cooperation, improve national strategies, and adopt comprehensive measures for equitable social progress.

The event will bring together states, UN agencies, civil society, and the business community for constructive dialogue aimed at eradicating poverty, boosting employment, and ensuring decent working conditions.

A key outcome of the summit will be the adoption of the Doha Declaration, designed to enhance global partnerships and coordinate efforts toward sustainable and inclusive social development.

Uzbekistan’s active participation highlights its commitment to global social progress and follows recent bilateral agreements signed with Finland to strengthen international collaboration.
