Uzbek First Deputy Foreign Minister Bakhromjon Aloev has met with State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Sepp Schellhorn on the sidelines of the 43rd UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand.
The leaders discussed expanding Uzbek-Austrian cooperation in politics, trade, investment, culture, and humanitarian initiatives, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Both sides highlighted the strong bilateral ties, citing frequent delegation exchanges and high-level contacts that strengthen mutual understanding and practical collaboration.
Schellhorn also praised Uzbekistan’s hosting of the UNESCO conference, noting that holding such a major international forum in historic Samarkand boosts the country’s global prestige and elevates the profile of the entire Central Asian region.
