Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, has met with Malik Muhammad Aslam, CEO of Pakistan’s Habib Rafiq Ltd, to discuss expanding Uzbek-Pakistani investment cooperation.
The talks focused on infrastructure development, smart city projects, and the mining and processing sectors. Special attention was given to copper enrichment, strategic mineral extraction, and the adoption of modern engineering solutions and advanced technologies, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekistan’s ministry and Habib Rafiq Engineering (Private) Limited. The agreement sets the framework for collaboration on smart city initiatives, modern infrastructure development, and investment promotion in Uzbekistan’s economy.
Habib Rafiq Ltd, one of Pakistan’s largest engineering and construction groups with over 70 years of experience, has delivered major projects including Capital Smart City and Lahore Smart City, Islamabad International Airport, and green energy developments. In partnership with Chinese company Geely, it has also launched electric vehicle production and introduced innovative technological solutions.
