Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has proposed convening a World Summit on Vocational Education to establish an international platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration in the education sector.
President Mirziyoyev made these remarks during the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The Uzbek leader said the proposed summit would strengthen global cooperation in training skilled professionals for the modern economy and encourage the sharing of best practices among nations.
The president also called for the creation of a UNESCO platform on inclusive education to support children with special needs and ensure equal access to learning opportunities for all students.
In addition, Mirziyoyev proposed organizing an International Expert Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence under UNESCO’s auspices. The forum would bring together leading academics, educators, and researchers from around the world to discuss the ethical challenges and opportunities of AI in education.
