Governor of Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, has held talks with Chinese investor Jiang Xuebo to discuss the prospects of launching an investment project in floriculture and agrotourism in the Fergana district.
During the meeting, China’s Shandong Haosen Flowers and Trees Co. Ltd, which has extensive experience in the flower industry, expressed interest in establishing a modern flower plantation in the region, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The proposed project envisages the cultivation of flowers both in greenhouses and in open fields, with a focus on developing an agrotourism destination alongside production.
Bozorov welcomed the initiative, highlighting its strong potential to boost socio-economic development, create new jobs, and attract additional investment to the district. He also reaffirmed the readiness of regional authorities to provide full support to the investor and facilitate the implementation of a mutually beneficial partnership.
