Uzbekistan’s National Football Center: Azerbaijan Set to Host Most Exciting CIS Games Ever

Uzbekistan’s National Football Center Director Nuriddin Mahmudov has expressed great enthusiasm upon arriving in Azerbaijan to participate in the Third CIS Games, highlighting the team’s rigorous preparation and optimism for success.

Speaking to journalists at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Mahmudov said, “We are very excited to arrive in Azerbaijan to take part in the Third CIS Games. I believe these Games will be the most exciting in the history of the CIS Games. Azerbaijan’s sports infrastructure is built to a very high standard, providing an excellent environment for competition,” The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Mahmudov emphasized the dedication of the Uzbekistan U-15 football team, noting that they have been training for the event for the past two years. “Our team has been preparing for these Games for two years. We believe we deserve to win,” he said confidently.

The Third CIS Games are scheduled to run from September 28 to October 8, across seven Azerbaijani cities: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The grand opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Ganja City Stadium, promising a spectacular showcase of talent and unity among the Commonwealth of Independent States.
