Uzbekistan Showcases New Mining Opportunities at High-Level Roundtable in Slovenia

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov has joined a roundtable with Slovenia’s geology and mineral resources sector in Ljubljana, where he highlighted the country’s investment reforms and new, more transparent Subsoil Code designed to streamline procedures and enhance environmental safety.

Participants highlighted Uzbekistan’s strong potential in rare earth elements - resources increasingly in demand across high-tech industries and green energy technologies, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

Officials emphasized that Uzbekistan aims not only to develop raw material extraction but also to pursue joint projects in processing and producing high-value-added products.

Slovenian companies were presented with a portfolio of promising investment projects. Kudratov expressed confidence that Slovenia’s technological expertise, combined with Uzbekistan’s resource base, could help build sustainable supply chains and unlock new industrial cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
