Uzbekistan Strengthens Innovation, Technology Cooperation Within Turkic World

Executive Director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for Innovative Development Asror Norov has said that Uzbekistan is stepping up efforts to expand cooperation with member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in the areas of industry, science, technology, and innovation.

Norov made these remarks during the 2nd Meeting of Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation of OTS member states held in Baku, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Norov highlighted Uzbekistan’s significant progress in building its innovation ecosystem over the past year.

“Within just one year, four technology parks and three investment funds have started operations in Uzbekistan.

As a result, in the 2025 Global Innovation Index, Uzbekistan rose to 79th place - four positions higher than last year. Among the OTS countries, we hold one of the leading positions,” he said.

Norov emphasized that these achievements demonstrate Uzbekistan’s growing capacity for economic and technological integration. The country, he added, aims to become a key innovation hub within the Turkic world by fostering partnerships, encouraging investment, and accelerating digital transformation across the region.
