Uzbekistan Studies Denmark’s Digital Public Service Model

A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Eldor Makhkamov, Head of the Public Services Department at the Ministry of Justice, has visited Denmark to explore the country’s advanced practices in delivering digital government services.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation met with leaders and experts from Denmark’s Center for Digital Government, the Ministry of Digital Government, the national IT services agency, the Chamber of Commerce, the Health Authority, the State Archives, and the Data Protection Agency, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Talks focused on Denmark’s cutting-edge approaches to digital governance - including service optimization, outsourcing certain state functions to the private sector, full digitalization of documents and data, and robust personal data protection measures.

Special attention was given to practical digital solutions co-developed by the government, business, and research institutions, such as tools that simplify starting and running a business.

The study tour was organized under the project “Further Improving the Delivery of Public Services in Uzbekistan,” implemented by the Ministry of Justice in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the European Union.
