Uzbekistan is set to modernize its chemical sector using advanced, energy-efficient technologies in partnership with China’s Sinoma Energy Conservation, a global leader in renewable energy and environmental solutions.

During a meeting between Odil Temirov, Chairman of Uzkimyosanoat company, and Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation, the sides discussed projects aimed at boosting industrial capacity, expanding exports, and supplying competitive products to the domestic market, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

A 300 MW solar plant in Navoi’s Karmana district exemplifies the cooperation.

Enterprises are replacing outdated pumping stations with modern energy-saving ones, including Navoiazot company, which plans to replace six pumps this year, saving 11 million kWh of electricity. Other projects cover energy-efficient solutions at Maxam-Chirchiq company, reconstruction of ammonium nitrate facilities at Navoiazot, and environmentally friendly production technologies.

Four agreements were signed to enhance energy efficiency, build new facilities, and introduce cutting-edge technologies across Uzbekistan’s chemical industry. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are also set to jointly construct a new petrochemical complex.
