Uzbekistan, UAE Move Toward Comprehensive Economic Pact

Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates plan to develop an agreement on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership.

The two sides agreed to establish a joint working group and introduce preferential trade conditions for more than 500 goods starting in 2026, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Negotiations on the proposed partnership were held on the sidelines of Gulfood 2026 in Dubai, one of the world’s largest international trade exhibitions.

The planned agreement is expected to deepen bilateral economic ties, expand mutual trade, and create new opportunities for businesses from both countries, marking another step in the growing strategic partnership between Tashkent and Abu Dhabi.
