Armenia’s government has established a military attaché position at the country’s embassy in Canada, with the role to be combined with the existing post of military attaché in the US.

The official is expected to assume the additional responsibilities on January 1, 2027, subject to approval by the Canadian side, according to Armenia Today.

Armenian authorities view Canada as an important link between Armenia and NATO. The military attaché will coordinate defence cooperation between Armenia and Canada and support activities within Armenia’s partnership with the alliance.
