Armenia, Germany Hold Political Consultations

Political consultations took place in Berlin on January 15, led by Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Niklas Wagner, Commissioner for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at Germany’s Federal Foreign Office.

The discussions covered a wide range of bilateral issues, highlighting the strong relations and active political dialogue between Armenia and Germany, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

Both sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in areas outlined in the Declaration on the Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership, signed on December 9, 2025, by the Armenian Prime Minister and the German Federal Chancellor.

The consultations also addressed the Armenia-European Union strategic partnership agenda, emphasizing active collaboration on international platforms. Deputy Minister Kostanyan highlighted regional opportunities arising from programs to develop economic interconnectivity in the context of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan following the Washington Agreements of August 8, 2025, including the TRIPP Route project.
