Armenia will host the FIAS Sambo World Cup for the third year in a row, with the 2026 edition scheduled to take place on April 11-12 in Yerevan.
Mikayel Hayrapetyan, President of the Sambo Federation of Armenia, said at a press conference that all preparations have been completed and the country is ready to host the event, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.
A total of 570 athletes from 22 countries will participate in the competition.
The competition will feature Sport Sambo, Combat Sambo, and Blind Sambo events for both men and women.
Armenia previously hosted the 2024 and 2025 championships.
