Armenian PM Travels to Brussels for 2026 EU Enlargement Summit

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan travelled to Brussels on November 3 for a working visit to attend the 2026 EU Enlargement Summit, organized by Euronews.

Pashinyan is expected to participate in the event, which will focus on the European Union's enlargement agenda, according to news.am.

However, the nature of the summit has sparked political debate in Armenia.

On the eve of Pashinyan's visit, Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, claimed that the November 3 event was organized by the Euronews television channel rather than official European Union institutions or the European Commission.

Ashotyan stressed that the official EU enlargement summit is scheduled to take place in Brussels on November 15-16, adding that Armenia had not been invited to that event and that Pashinyan would not participate.
