Pashinyan Says Yeraskh-Nakhchivan Railway Rebuild Will Take 1.5 Years

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that work on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project is set to begin this year, as he presented the election program of the ruling Civil Contract party.

"I am confident that we will start work in 2026. I think the earliest facilities to be commissioned will be the power transmission lines," Pashinyan stated, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

He also noted that the reconstruction of the railway sections from Gyumri to Türkiye and from Yeraskh to Nakhchivan (Azerbaijan) will take approximately one to one and a half years.
