Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is expanding its European network with the launch of direct scheduled flights between Baku and Brussels, offering travelers a new nonstop connection to one of Europe's leading political and business capitals.

The first flight to the Belgian capital is scheduled for May 8, 2027, with tickets already on sale, The Caspian Post reports via AZAL.

The Baku-Brussels-Baku route will operate four times a week-on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The new service is expected to strengthen business, tourism, and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Belgium while providing passengers with direct access to one of Europe's most important diplomatic, economic, and transportation hubs.

As the home of the European Union and NATO headquarters, Brussels is a global center for diplomacy and international business. The city is also renowned for its historic Grand Place, the iconic Atomium, world-class museums, celebrated cuisine, and vibrant cultural scene, making it one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations.

Brussels also serves as a major transport hub, offering convenient rail connections to cities such as Amsterdam in about two hours, as well as Luxembourg, Cologne, and other key European destinations.
