Azerbaijan Army Serviceman Injured in Mine Blast in Kalbajar District

On May 29, at approximately 10:10, Azerbaijani serviceman Sadigov Khudaverdi Hasan was injured by an anti-personnel mine while engineer-sapper units of the Azerbaijan Army were carrying out mine and unexploded ordnance clearance near the Istisu settlement in the Kalbajar district.

The mine was planted by Armenians, and the soldier sustained an injury to his left leg, The Caspian Post reports via the Defense Ministry.

“Immediate first aid was provided, and the serviceman was evacuated to the nearest military hospital for qualified examination and treatment,” the ministry said.
