Four officials of Azerbaijan’s State Service for Mobilization and Conscription have been arrested.

The Baku Military Court has ruled a four-month period of pretrial detention for Etibar Aliyev, Chief Officer of the Training Department of the Garadagh District Department of the State Service; Shamil Aliyev, an officer of the Mobilization and Mobilization Training Department of the same department; Niyam Madatsoylu, Deputy Head of the Mobilization and Mobilization Training Department of the Jabrayil District Department; and Araz Karimli, an officer of the Saatli District Department, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

Furthermore, Shamil Aliyev, Niyam Madatsoylu, and Araz Karimli have been temporarily suspended from their positions.

Etibar Aliyev and Shamil Aliyev face charges under Articles 311.3.1, 311.3.2, and 311.3.3 of the Criminal Code, Niyam Madatsoylu under Article 311.3.2, and Araz Kerimli under Article 311.1.
