Azerbaijan, Israel Sign AI Cooperation Agreement

Israel and Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Artificial Intelligence on Tuesday at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, marking a new step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in advanced technologies.

The MOU was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Netanyahu by Brigadier General (Res.) Erez Askal, Head of Israel’s National Artificial Intelligence Directorate, and Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, The Caspian Post reports, citing the PM Office.

Under the agreement, Israel and Azerbaijan aim to deepen their strategic partnership through cooperation in artificial intelligence. The collaboration will focus on developing supercomputing infrastructure, applying AI technologies in critical civilian sectors, advancing human capital, and promoting joint research initiatives.

Officials from both countries described the MOU as a further step in reinforcing their long-standing alliance and expanding cooperation into high-tech and innovation-driven fields.
