An Azerbaijani delegation led by Defense Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev is on a working visit to Kenya.
On November 19, Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto received Minister Vugar Mustafayev, The Caspian Post reports, citing Azerbaijan's Defense Industry Ministry.
During the meeting, the sides hailed the dynamically developing relations between the two countries, noting that high-level reciprocal visits, political dialogue and inter-institutional contacts serve the development of this ties.
During the visit, Minister Vugar Mustafayev met with Chief of the Defence Forces of Kenya, General Charles Muriu Kahariri to discuss the existing cooperation in the military-technical field, including the prospects for the development of relations. The two also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
Minister Vugar Mustafayev engaged in fruitful conversation, sharing insights into the successes achieved by Azerbaijan in defense industry, international collaboration in this regard, and the “ADEX” Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition held every two years.
He also informed the Kenyan officials about the ongoing large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts in the post-conflict period, humanitarian demining initiatives in the liberated territories, and the progress achieved in the peace process.
The meetings were also attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kenya Sultan Hajiyev.
The delegation led by Vugar Mustafayev also toured the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kenya, and visited the monument to National Leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev to place flowers in front of the bust of the National Leader, paying tribute to his bright memory.
