A volcanic eruption was recorded in Azerbaijan’s Garadagh district on Saturday, September 26.
The Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences reported that the eruption was detected at 7:32 a.m. (GMT+4), according to Qazinform News Agency.
The event was recorded in the Garadagh district, with authorities monitoring seismic and volcanic activity in the area.
The report comes amid other recent volcanic activity in the region. In late August, Russia’s Klyuchevskoy volcano erupted, sending an ash plume approximately 6 kilometers into the atmosphere.
