The price of Azeri Light, Azerbaijan's flagship crude oil blend, rose by $0.32 (0.36%) to $86.83 per barrel on the global market.
Meanwhile, Brent crude September futures closed at $82.22 per barrel, while the price of Azeri Light delivered on FOB Ceyhan terms increased by $0.03 (0.04%) to $83.18 per barrel, The Caspian Post reports via Report.
The latest price remains well above the $65 per barrel benchmark used in Azerbaijan's 2026 state budget, providing continued support for the country's energy revenues.
For comparison, Azeri Light hit a record low of $15.81 per barrel on April 21, 2020, during the pandemic-driven oil market collapse, while its all-time high of $149.66 per barrel was recorded in July 2008.
