The price of Azeri Light crude oil has risen on global markets, strengthening Azerbaijan's benchmark blend and pushing it well above the level assumed in the country's 2026 state budget.
According to market data, the price of Azeri Light (CIF) increased by $1.24, or 1.67%, to reach $75.60 per barrel, The Caspian Post reports via APA.
The latest gain follows the previous trading price of $74.36 per barrel, reflecting renewed upward momentum in international oil markets.
Azerbaijan's 2026 state budget is based on an average Azeri Light oil price of $65 per barrel, meaning the current market price remains comfortably above the government's benchmark, potentially supporting stronger-than-expected energy revenues if elevated prices persist.
