Azerbaijan has added its third medal to the tally at the World Summer Universiade currently underway in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
The Azerbaijani group rhythmic gymnastics team, composed of Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Yelyzaveta Luzan, Darya Sorokina, and Gullu Aghalarzade, delivered a strong performance in the event featuring routines with three balls and two hoops, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The team scored 23.950 points from the judges, earning the silver medal behind Ukraine, who took the gold.
This latest medal follows Azerbaijan’s earlier successes at the Universiade, where the group gymnastics team won gold in the all-around competition as well as in the five ribbons routine.
