Azerbaijan’s Neftchi Basketball Club Heads to Romania for FIBA Europe Cup Training Camp

Azerbaijan’s “Neftchi” basketball club is set to begin its preparations for the upcoming FIBA Europe Cup with a training camp in Romania.

The team will depart for Romania on September 4, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

Over the course of the two-week camp, “Neftchi” plans to play six friendly matches as part of its preparation strategy. Following the training program, the squad will return to Baku to continue gearing up for the Azerbaijan Basketball Championship.

As part of the FIBA Europe Cup group stage, “Neftchi” has been placed in Group 1, where it will face tough competition against Kalev/Cramo (Estonia), Bursaspor (Türkiye), and Trefl (Poland).
