Azerbaijan’s Parliamentary Speaker Offers Condolences to Turkish Counterpart Over Plane Crash

Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has sent a message of condolences to her Turkish counterpart Numan Kurtulmuş over the crash of a Turkish military cargo plane in Georgia.

In her letter, Gafarova expressed deep shock at the news of the deaths of servicemen as a result of the crash in Georgian territory of a military cargo plane belonging to the Turkish Air Force that had taken off from Azerbaijan's Ganja city, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Milli Majlis.

The speaker extended profound condolences, on her own behalf and on behalf of the deputies of the Azerbaijani Parliament, to the speaker and deputies of the Turkish parliament, the families and relatives of those who perished, and the fraternal people of Türkiye, and prayed for God’s mercy on the deceased.
