The discussions took place during a high-level meeting in Vienna between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, The Caspian Post reports via the minister’s message on X.

Following the meeting, Shahbazov described the talks as productive and forward-looking.

“During the meeting, we discussed key issues on our bilateral energy agenda,” Shahbazov wrote. “This included the upcoming session of the Joint Technical Commission, expanded collaboration with Saudi energy companies in the hydrocarbon sector, and progress on major renewable projects such as the 240 MW wind power plant and the planned 3.5 GW offshore wind energy project.”
