Azerbaijan and Slovakia have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding cooperation in standardization, metrology, technical regulation, conformity assessment, and accreditation, strengthening institutional ties between the two countries.
The agreement was signed between Azerbaijan's State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision and the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing, The Caspian Post reports via Azerbaijan's State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision.
The memorandum is designed to enhance collaboration in quality infrastructure, promote the exchange of international expertise and information, and establish a framework for future joint initiatives.
The document was signed by Elnur Baghirov, Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision, and Elchin Gasimov, Slovakia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Under the agreement, the two sides will exchange information on technical regulations, standardization, and metrology, while also organizing joint seminars, conferences, scientific and technical projects, and professional training programs to strengthen the knowledge and skills of specialists in both countries.
