Azerbaijan, Slovakia Sign Security Cooperation Memorandum to Strengthen Law Enforcement Ties

Azerbaijan and Slovakia have signed a high-level Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

The agreement was signed in the city of Shusha by Azerbaijan's Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov, and Slovakia's Minister of Interior, Matúš Šutaj Eštok, The Caspian Post reports via Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry.

During their meeting, the two ministers reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and discussed opportunities to further strengthen collaboration between their ministries.

Eyvazov briefed the Slovak delegation on the key areas of activity of Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry and the country's public security situation. The talks focused on enhancing joint efforts to combat transnational organized crime, illicit drug and arms trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime.

Šutaj Eštok thanked the Azerbaijani side for its warm hospitality and expressed Slovakia's strong interest in deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security.
