Azerbaijan, Syria to Address Sustainable Urban Development at WUF13 in Baku

During the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan and Syria will focus on expanding expertise-sharing and adopting global best practices in sustainable urban development.

The information was published on the official X account of Azerbaijan's embassy in Syria, The Caspian Post reports, citing Report.

During a meeting between Azerbaijan's Chargé d'Affaires in Syria, Elnur Shahhuseynov, and Syria's Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mustafa Abdul Razzaq, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in housing construction and reconstruction, as well as challenges facing the sector.

"Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue discussions during the upcoming visit of the Syrian delegation to Azerbaijan for participation in WUF13. The talks will focus on expanding the exchange of expertise and introducing leading international practices," the statement said.

The statement added that Syria's Ministry of Public Works and Housing is seeking to broaden international cooperation in housing and post-war reconstruction efforts as part of broader efforts to support sustainable development and improve infrastructure.
