Azerbaijan, UN Mull Development of New Framework Document

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in the country, Vladanka Andreeva.

The meeting focused on Azerbaijan's multidimensional cooperation with various UN specialized institutions, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.

Both sides highlighted that the implementation of the Framework Document on sustainable development cooperation between the UN and Azerbaijan for 2021-2025 has been pivotal in advancing their partnership. The successful organization and completion of COP29 in Azerbaijan further stimulated the expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and the UN, a responsible partner in addressing global challenges.

The discussions also centered on the strategic direction for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and the preparation of a new Framework Document for cooperation between 2026-2030.
