A bilateral meeting between the parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia took place during the 23rd Autumn Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Istanbul.
The meeting took place in accordance with an agreement reached during discussions between the speakers of the two parliaments in Geneva on October 21, The Caspian Post reports citing the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan.
Participants highlighted the role of the Washington summit in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and exchanged views on the agreements achieved, the next steps toward strengthening peace between the two countries, and the importance of parliamentary support for this process.
The sides also discussed the role of parliaments in confidence-building measures and emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue among parliament members within international organizations.
