Azerbaijani PM Attends CIS Heads of Government Meeting with Tajik President

On June 5, during his working visit to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov took part in a meeting of the members of the CIS Council of Heads of Government with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, The Caspian Post reports.

The CIS Heads of Government Council will be held in Dushanbe, first in a narrow format and then with the participation of delegations. Plans are in place to discuss issues related to various areas of activity. Special attention will be on economic cooperation. The agenda will include issues of cooperation in heavy machinery, light industry, and harmonization of national air traffic systems. The heads of government will consider a number of issues related to humanitarian activities, including the organization of the CIS Volunteers Forum. Plans are also in place to establish a badge “For the Development of Tourism in the CIS”.
