Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are stepping up efforts to strengthen transport, logistics, and transit cooperation following high-level talks in Ashgabat.
The meeting brought together Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Annayev and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gismet Gozalov, where both sides highlighted the growing importance of political dialogue and regular visits in advancing bilateral relations, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
Officials noted that strong political will from both nations’ leadership has elevated cooperation to a strategic level, opening the door for deeper collaboration across key sectors.
A central focus of the discussions was the countries’ unique geographic positions, which offer major advantages for expanding transit potential and developing international transport corridors linking regions.
The sides also highlighted the active role of the joint intergovernmental commission in exploring new opportunities-from digital transformation and telecom infrastructure upgrades to enhancing logistics networks.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening fraternal relations, with a clear emphasis on delivering practical, high-tech, and infrastructure-driven projects that could reshape regional connectivity.
