Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has reportedly resigned from the negotiating team, The Caspian Post reports, citing Israeli Channel 12.

According to the report, Ghalibaf’s resignation is said to have taken place following alleged interference by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The development comes after U.S. President Donald Trump extended the ceasefire on Tuesday without setting a specific new deadline for peace talks to reach an agreement. However, the US president later stated that negotiations could resume as soon as tomorrow.
