Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), the oldest continuously operating university in Hungary, has launched Azerbaijani language lessons.
It marks the first time Azerbaijani is taught at a higher education institution in Hungary, The Caspian Post reports citing AZERTAC.
The lesson, which was held at the initiative of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center, established under a cooperation agreement between the Azerbaijan University of Languages and ELTE University, was led by Azerbaijani language teacher Fargana Bayramli.
Hungarian students are showing a strong interest in learning the Azerbaijani language, its history and culture. This growing interest highlights a mutual desire to strengthen both educational and cultural ties and broader cooperation between two nations' peoples.
