Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna will visit Azerbaijan on October 19.
During his visit, Tsahkna is expected to hold a series of meetings in Azerbaijan, according to APA.
Azerbaijan and Estonia established diplomatic relations in 1992, and bilateral ties have expanded in recent years across political, economic and humanitarian areas. The two countries cooperate particularly in trade, digitalization, education, ICT, transport and logistics.
Political dialogue has also intensified, with regular high-level contacts and consultations between the two foreign ministries. In June 2026, officials discussed prospects for expanding economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as strategic energy and transport projects.
A notable recent development was the opening of Estonia’s first resident embassy in Baku on March 1, 2026, strengthening the institutional foundation of bilateral relations.
