Uzbekistan, Estonia Strengthen Digital Cooperation in Education and Governance

A delegation from Uzbekistan's Tashkent city has concluded an official visit to Estonia's capital Tallinn, where both sides discussed expanding cooperation in digital governance and education.

During the trip, the delegation held meetings at Tallinn City Hall with Deputy Mayor Kristjan Järvan, representatives of the city’s Education Department, and strategic development officials, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

The discussions focused on sharing best practices and launching joint initiatives in digital public services and urban management.

Tashkent's team also visited the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, where they were introduced to Estonia’s advanced e-governance system, digital public services, and innovations in social sector development. Key topics included digital transformation, innovation policies, and youth engagement in technology.

Another highlight of the visit was a tour of Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), including its Artificial Intelligence Competence Centre and digital governance education programs. Both sides explored opportunities for academic cooperation, including faculty exchanges and joint research projects.

At the conclusion of the visit, the parties agreed to further deepen collaboration and begin drafting a memorandum of understanding.

The delegation also participated in the international conference “EdTech Testbeds: Sharing International Experience and Exploring Cross-Border Cooperation,” where experts from Finland, Germany, Estonia, and other countries presented practical insights into educational technology and digital learning innovation.
