Thailand to End Visa-Free Entry for Uzbek Citizens Starting July 2026

Citizens of Uzbekistan will need a visa to enter Thailand starting from July 15, 2026, following Bangkok’s decision to cancel the current visa-free regime.

The Thai government has approved major changes to its visa-free entry policy and Visa on Arrival (VoA) system. Under the new rules, the existing 60-day visa-free stay will be canceled for citizens of 93 countries, including Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

The decision is expected to be officially published in Thailand’s Royal Gazette next week and will come into force 15 days after publication.

Once the new regulations take effect, Uzbek travelers will no longer be able to enter Thailand without a visa. Instead, they will be required to apply online for entry permission through the Thai e-Visa system.
