Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have emerged as the top foreign travel destinations for citizens of Uzbekistan during the first four months of 2026.
New data shows that nearly 900,000 Uzbek travelers visited Kyrgyzstan, making it the clear leader among international destinations. Tajikistan followed in second place, welcoming over 388,500 visitors from Uzbekistan over the same period, The Caspian Post reports via the Uzbek National Committee on Statistics.
The figures highlight a strong and steady travel flow within Central Asia, where neighboring countries continue to dominate outbound tourism patterns for Uzbek citizens. Regional proximity, cultural ties, and simplified travel conditions are seen as key factors driving this sustained mobility trend.
Overall, Central Asian states remain the primary travel corridor for Uzbekistan, reinforcing the region’s deepening cross-border connectivity and tourism exchange.
