Legendary actor Jackie Chan is in Baku, where filming has begun on several scenes for the international adventure film Armour of God 4: Ultimatum.

According to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku, the world-renowned actor will spend about ten days in the Azerbaijani capital, Report informs.

Kazakhstan serves as the film's primary shooting location. Filming has already taken place in the Mangystau and Almaty regions, as well as in the city of Almaty. Azerbaijan was selected as the second filming location at the proposal of the Kazakh side. The film is being produced by the Kazakh production company Salem Entertainment. The project's producer is the company's founder, Rustem Omarov, while the director is Kazakh filmmaker and stunt coordinator Robert Kun, whose appointment was personally approved by Jackie Chan. The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan is assisting with the filming in Baku.

Several of Baku's most recognizable landmarks have been selected as filming locations. The movie will feature Icherisheher (the Old City), Highland Park, the Baku Funicular, the Green Theatre, and Fountain Square.

The project is being jointly implemented by Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and is one of the largest international film productions in recent years to be created in Central Asia and the South Caucasus. The participation of both countries reflects expanding regional cooperation in the film industry and creates additional opportunities to promote their cultural and tourism potential on the global stage.

Armour of God 4: Ultimatum will continue the famous franchise, with Jackie Chan returning after 13 years to reprise his role as the legendary adventurer known as the "Asian Hawk." The film is scheduled for release in 2027.
