Landmine Blast Injures Civilian in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam District

On April 2, a mine explosion occurred in the village of Chamanli in the liberated Aghdam district, according to a joint statement by the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).

The statement reported that Abbasov Nuraddin Feyzi oglu, born in 1968, sustained injuries from an anti-personnel mine and was evacuated to the hospital, The Caspian Post reports.

The Aghdam District Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident.

The Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and ANAMA once again urge citizens to adhere to safety regulations, pay close attention to mine warning signs, and avoid unfamiliar areas.
