A mine incident occurred on September 10 in the liberated village of Papravand in Azerbaijan’s Aghdara District.

Sarhan Rustamzade, a resident of the Tartar District, 21, was riding a horse through an uncleared area when he stepped on an anti-personnel mine, according to the Mine Action Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (ANAMA).

Rustamzade sustained a minor injury in the incident and was evacuated from the danger zone by ANAMA personnel.

The Tartar District Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
